tanks at the palace

I’ve been past this scene a number of times myself, but the photo was taken by an AUC colleague. Mubarak’s former palace in Heliopolis is behind these tanks, though out of view. (The building in the foreground is not the palace. It’s hidden a bit more back from the street than that.)
In principle, tanks on a city street is a horrible idea. In practice, the soldiers manning them don’t have a very threatening air about them. They look a bit bored, actually.
