Several thousand protesters have ARRIVED AT THE PALACE after a 9-mile march from Tahrir. (The palace is in Heliopolis, not too far from the airport. In fact, you pass right by the palace whenever you head to the city center from the airport.)

Strangest line in the story: “The group’s presence is disturbing residents of nearby apartment buildings and residents of the upscale neighborhood east of Cairo, one witness said.” Well, maybe they should phone in a noise complaint to the police.

Also, at least two helicopters were reported to have left the palace. Not sure what to make of all this.
