Amira

This is Amira, who was killed by a police officer who is mentioned by name. Without being able to verify that information, I can’t repeat the name to a wider Anglophone audience. But if you read a bit of Arabic, the name can be read at left, just above the sign. The (former) Interior Minister Habib Al Adly is also blamed on the sign. The woman at right is Amira’s mother.

UPDATE: Amira was struck and killed by the police officer’s bullet while standing on a balcony in Alexandria.
