strange transaction

The circumstances just forced me to make the following strange transaction: withdraw from my Egyptian Pounds account in Cairo in the form of Indian Rupees; exchange Indian Rupees for U.S. Dollars, so that I can change the Dollars back into Egyptian Pounds at the Cairo Airport.

Sure, I’m going to lose something on this mulberry-bush financing, but there was no other option. Even Thomas Cook in Bombay doesn’t have Egyptian Pounds in the drawer without some advance notice.
