internet in Egypt

Somewhere I read a user comment that the whole internet had been shut down in Egypt. That doesn’t seem to be the case: I received email from an Egyptian account as recently as 4 hours ago, and after that everyone was probably asleep anyway.

However, I suppose it’s always possible you’ll see this blog go into suspension for awhile once I’m back.

Along with Friday prayers, ElBaradei has returned to Cairo from Vienna, so today is likely to be a hot one. (Incidentally, I taught his niece and work with his sister. Surprisingly small world in Egypt sometimes.)
