This comes from one of those mass-mailed invitations to a junk conference in Orlando:
“As you know, Murray Gell-Mann, who received the Nobel Prize in physics in 1969, affirms that: ‘it is vitally important that we supplement our specialized studies with serious attempts to take a crude look at the whole.'”
“As you know…”
Ah yes, pity that the vulgar crowd is completely unaware of the sayings of Gell-Mann. Unlike you and I, who are among the few remaining elite in this barbarous age.
