Ralon interviews David Cerbone
December 18, 2010
The latest in his series of interviews is HERE.
In fact, I seem to have missed a number of Ralon’s interviews. If you scroll to the bottom of THIS PAGE, you’ll find a complete list of them.
Interviews are an excellent genre when done well. I don’t think I mention that I blazed through Ennis’s book early last week, and had a nice evening in doing so.
Somehow, the highlight of that volume for me is Levi’s extremely simple point (grounded in his brief practice of Lacanian analysis) that people are very different form one another. It is very easy to slip into the opposite intuition, especially in philosophy where we generalize and universalize for a living. But one of the most traumatic facts about reality is that there is no human, but just a whole lot of humans, each of them devoted to “obvious” truths that are in no way obvious to anyone else.
