SR/OOO Tutorial

A number of people today are clicking on the JULY 23, 2010 SR/OOO TUTORIAL post. Someone must be linking to it, but I’m not sure who.

Anyway, it may still be of use, even if there have been some developments since July.

But this much is very important: SR and OOO are not the same thing. If you want, you can view OOO as one variant of SR (but please realize that OOO is 7 years older, though the current set of initials was coined by Levi in July 2009).

And especially important: Meillassoux is not an object-oriented philosopher. Individual entities play only a tiny role in his philosophy. He doesn’t even like the term “speculative realism” all that much, though he did willingly use it at the 2007 Goldsmiths event.
