buffered causation

Ian Bogost mentions the occurrence of BUFFERED CAUSATION in Circus Philosophicus. Forgot it was in there, but then of course I immediately remembered the passage he cited.

I used to be able to remember pretty much anything at any time, but those days are long gone. Now I can’t even remember which passages are in which books. Too much in the head.
