I’m checking in at Nina Power’s Infinite Thought now and then to try to learn more about the injured student Alfie Meadows. HERE IS THE LATEST.

It remains the most disgusting thing I’ve heard in weeks, and the hospital story at the above link only makes things worse.

There’s a big difference between legitimate riot prevention and thuggery-as-fun, and it sounds like there was much of the latter going on. If you hit someone in the head, with any item and for any reason short of last-ditch self-defense, then you’re simply a thug.
