the Latour “hut”

He’s had this place for a number of years and has written most of his recent books there.

From Paris you have to take the TGV several hours south from the Gare de Lyon, headed towards Clermont-Ferrand.

I was there in summertime. They have a hammock in front and I rested there for several hours. There’s also a very large pond you can swim in, though I didn’t do it; I did row a bit in the pond, however.

And yes, that’s an actual castle at upper right.
