lecturing in a flat
September 25, 2010
The last time I did that was in Chicago, but it was a nice setting for a lecture. They have a fairly massive apartment here (someone described it beforehand as looking “like a Berlin Red Army terrorist hangout circa 1976,” and I can see it) that seems to be set up for cultural events on a fairly permanent basis.
The current occupants are a group of Architecture students from Sydney, along with three of their professors who had invited and funded me. The lecture occurred in semi-darkness, with a wonderful breeze wafting through the facilities, and was followed by a nice discussion and a magnificent Moroccan dinner cooked by a Moroccan restaurant chef from London. Nice evening.
Another big day with all of these people tomorrow, so I’ll leave it at that for now.
