After Finitude in Cairo

All things considered, a good first class on Meillassoux’s book earlier tonight. A number of useful points were raised.

And then we had the annual big party for new faculty at the provost’s villa. Nice as ever, and as usual I’m reminded of what a fascinating group of people work here. It was really a stroke of luck to come to AUC. Pretty close to the top of my list of lucky strokes, actually.
