Sicily

Quick post here from Taormina, because it’s almost time to move on.

Sicily is great! Today is my first time here, but certainly not my last. All the plants seem to be flowering. The coastline is beautiful everywhere (no chance to go into Siracusa itself, but the harbor was visible from the highway and it was fun to imagine Archimedes’ mechanical claw coming out of the water there to shake enemy ships). Mountainous landscape with gravity-defying villages hanging on cliffs. And finally, a big scary volcano visible from almost everywhere. In fact, that’s the next stop.
