a quick clarification in response to Stuart Elden

Stuart has a brief “roundup” post up, hilariously entitled “Iraq, Ihde, Meillassoux” (and no, I don’t think those three together form a real object, but it’s a nice litany). At one point he says this:

“especially interesting that Meillassoux has another 4 or 5 manuscripts written.”

To be more precise, Meillassoux himself only says that they are “in progress.” But for those who know him, what this really means is that they are already finished, already great, and he’s simply being very fastidious before releasing them to the outside world.

The one that is really quite close to being published is his book on Mallarmé and the dice-throw, which is coming out in the series that Badiou edits. I don’t know the exact publication date, and I’m afraid I forgot to ask Meillassoux the exact title.
