p.s. on iPad

And I shouldn’t have just said campus use. The best use of all for the iPad, for me, is on the bus.
It really is a beautiful new campus we have, and I agree that the move had to be made. (It happened in 2008.) But the inevitable downside was spending around 2 hours per day on the university buses.
In 2009 our President decided to equip all the buses with wifi. Initially it did nothing for me, since I have Vodafone internet access for laptop throughout Egypt anyway, but what it means for me now is that the iPad is always usable on the bus. No more boring bus rides.
One other thing… Though the keyboard is the same basic thing as the iPhone keyboard, you can type a lot faster on the iPad than on the phone simply because of the size difference. I can barely fit my fingers on the iPhone screen, and one of the ways in which I preferred Blackberry to iPhone is that I got pretty good at typing massive epistles on that tiny metallic Blackberry keyboard.
