first killer app for the iPad

Reading book proofs. Normally I’d be glued to the computer screen for that, or more likely printing out pages and taking them to a café. But now I can do it with the iPad, outdoors, in whatever park seems best. (Yes, in principle you can do with that laptops too, but it’s much harder to read on a laptop in the park.)

The one complicating factor here is… rain. Looks like it might rain, and that would change things.

Heading to Lille tomorrow for dinner with Olivier, the French translator of L’objet quadruple. Otherwise, these last few days in Paris are much work and little play.
