Only €1.80 for a container of pistachioes? I’d forgotten that they aren’t luxury goods. Egypt must not grow any of their own, because they are absurdly expensive in Cairo.

By the way, if you have some sort of fireplace and a bunch of pistachio shells, throw them in the fire. We discovered this by chance one time. The effect is quite eerie: the oil in the shells gives off a sort of fluctuating glow that lasts for a good long time. If you do it in the dark, the effect is even somewhat supernatural in appearance.
