another great thing about Paris

It’s 10:05 PM and I have the sudden urge to go browse in a bookstore. I can do that here, at least at L’ÉCUME DES PAGES.

They’re open till midnight, people. (But only till 10 PM on Sundays, the miserable slackers.)

Over the years I’ve made some great 11 PM book finds there. It’s over in Saint Germain des Prés, right by those two old overpriced but charming existentialist hangouts: Café de Flore and Les deux magots. Bruno Latour’s office at Sciences-Po is just around the corner too.
