best author to read on a France-Poland trip?

I would say Bergson. And I do have some of his stuff along on this trip. (Marie Curie is much tougher reading, though I did actually pick up the Dover paperback of her treatise on radiation.) Didn’t bring my iPod, and don’t have any Chopin on it anyway, but he’d obviously be the right soundtrack for the trip.
