And concerning the previous post, even more importantly… Let’s assume for argument’s sake that Derrida already had it nailed. He was fully onto the fact that inter-object relations with no humans present have the same ontological status as human-world relations. In short, Derrida was already every bit as anti-Kantian as Whitehead himself.
Let’s assume this were true. Derrida now gets all the credit. OOO was “beaten to the punch.”
So… where are all of my Derridean allies? Where are all the Derrideans saying “it’s painfully obvious that the correlationists are wrong, and Harman is right, and what he is doing is the proper extension of Derrida’s ingenious breakthroughs into the inanimate realm.” ???
In short, where are all the Derrideans doing object-oriented philosophy? I don’t see them.
