Eric McLuhan interview

Laureano Ralon has now posted his interview with ERIC MCLUHAN.

Laureano had asked me to pose a question to Eric, and I chose to raise a question I’ve posed to Eric before: why did they limit the tetrad to human artifacts? We’ve reached an impasse on that debate, but I still think the tetrads ought to be interpreted in such a way that they are indifferent as to whether an entity is fabricated by humans or not.

He co-authored Laws of Media with his father, and it’s such an exciting book that I’m often surprised by how little discussion it receives. Even some fans of McLuhan seem dismissive of the book.
