How about “petty and vindictive”? The student occupation is over, thanks to a court intervention. And now they decide to suspend two of their internationally best-known faculty members. It’s not enough to guillotine their Department, after all. It’s also important to rub their noses in it with a suspension beforehand and an order not to speak with their own students while an “investigation” is underway.

Pardon the sarcasm, but I’m outraged by this latest news. I hope you are too. This represents a new low in the treatment of Philosophy Departments worldwide.
