sorry, but I hate this term

The word “coping,” when applied to Heidegger’s tool-analysis. Even if I agreed that this analysis were about human practical activity (which I don’t), could there be a more annoying term than “coping”? Sorry if I offended any “Dreydegger” people with that remark. On the whole I don’t loathe his book, and he has done a nice service in many ways in making Heidegger acceptable to a broader swathe of the public.
