They got her under some old witchcraft act. It’s a true story and the subject of a recent tv prog. in NZ.

I thought the wording of the crime was interesting. The Act presumably couldn’t admit that someone might actually conjure a spirit – but only claim to.”

What was the wording of the crime: “Claiming to have supernatural powers”?

My favorite crime, by the way, is one on the books in Mexico: “inexplicable enrichment.” I love that. The brother of ex-President Salinas was charged with it, if I’m remembering correctly.
