now I’m a powerful voter

They didn’t say it was secret, so I guess it’s not. I’ve been selected as a voter in the 2010 world reputation survey for the Times Higher Education Supplement World University Rankings. It sounds like I’ll simply be voting on Philosophy Departments, though the questions are still a week away.

Perhaps this is the right time to raise the question: “What is the most overrated Philosophy Department in the world?” (Joking.)

So now we know the rankings are fair. The survey does leave room, after all, for the “crackpot weird realist continental” demographic. Thank God Circus Philosophicus isn’t out yet.
