And of course, other than writing to Johnston and Northwestern University Press to alert them (which I already did), my first act was to put Among the Jasmine Trees in my Amazon shopping cart. Sometimes you have to act upon coincidences as if all your biggest superstitions were true. I would never have run across that book if not for this weird printing problem. So now I must read Among the Jasmine Trees and look for some life-changing nugget in it.

Oh… never mind… Our library in Cairo has it. That will be my new reading project starting tomorrow.
