the other thought

The other thought about 10 years ago today is: “Man, I was so young.” I didn’t feel that way, of course. Who feels young as a 31-year-old Ph.D. without a job for next year (as had been the case the day before)? But now I can see that I was really a green kid at the time. And the nice part of that is that 10 years from now, today’s self will look just as green and youthful.
