speaking of European travel

I’ve still not set foot in the following countries, the last in Europe to elude me:

Malta (EU)
Cyprus (EU)
Liechtenstein
San Marino
Montenegro
Moldova
Ukraine
Belarus

Not sure when I’ll be able to hit any of these, but I’ll try to do it soon. I barely missed Montenegro last summer, but in retrospect I’m glad I was able to linger in Belgrade in that wonderful apartment for as long as I was. It was worth it.

It’s a bit absurd to have missed Cyprus, just a stone’s throw from Egypt. The main reason I haven’t been there yet is that supposedly it’s seen best by car, and I have a fear of right-hand drive (they use that system there), which I’ve never tried. Surely I would make some absent-minded turn into the wrong lane and crash head-on into someone.
