Now no heat at all in this place for the next two days.

It’s not so bad. Cairo in December isn’t exactly Buffalo, New York or anything like that. But these lovely, cavernous old Zamalek flats are designed to trap all the cold air for summer purposes, and it’s just a bit uncomfortable in here.
