blog about Latour
December 12, 2009
And one of Ennis’s links reminded me that I have never linked (as far as I can recall) to the Latour-related blog WE HAVE NEVER BEEN BLOGGING.
Who is the most polarizing hero in Speculative Realism: Latour, or THOMAS METZINGER? Generally you’ll like one or the other, not both. (Unless you’re Nick Srnicek, but Nick is always the diplomat.)
And in fact, Latour and Metzinger are fairly close to a “Popeye and HAL” combination among living philosophers. I can’t imagine their having much to say to one another.
Laruelle might be another polarizer. I have nothing against him, but (like Levi) don’t yet get what the fuss is about. But it’s possible I’ve been reading the wrong Laruelle so far.
