What could be more boring than an “I’ll be out of my office through February 10” autorespond message?

But, when a message to Graeme Wood gets this in reply:

“I will have intermittent (at best) access to email until December 16”

then there is a somewhat ominous tone to it. Where is he? Crawling through the spiderholes of Tora Bora? Blindfolded and being passed from car to car for an interview with a safe and secluded Jimmy Hoffa?
