Popeye and HAL: the travel version

Some months ago I mentioned Popeye and HAL the computer as standing champions of the “imagine the most impossible conversation” game.

If there were a travel version of the game, Ian Bogost would have a solid entry by splitting his week between “Argentina and Orange County.”

Speaking of which, the best “adjacent airport gates” entry would be the ones I saw in the Memphis Airport on December 31, 1999 en route to New Orleans festivities… The Amsterdam flight gate was right next to the one for Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
