These are the sorts of days when you feel blessed to live in Cairo… Cool, crisp, and bright. Something about the winter atmosphere also tends to hold pollution to a minimum. It’s the sort of day you wish would go on forever so that you could walk around in 3-hour blocks repeatedly, with short naps in between.

In January and February, it can sometimes be the case that 20 straight days are just like this one. If I were independently wealthy and could simply move about the globe as I pleased, Cairo would be my residence of choice for January and February every year.
