To my amazement, they’re actually building the third subway line rather than just talking about it for additional years. This line will be a Zamalek-to-Airport godsend, passing through all sorts of areas where I very much like to go. The Cairo subway at present, with its two lines, is actually pretty nice, but just doesn’t go to very many places that are relevant to me.

They did just have a sinkhole problem on part of the line. It sucked in a few parked cars, but no one was hurt.
