Composition of Philosophy. September 22.

All right, I spent a couple more hours on the L’OQ manuscript tonight, bringing me up to 56 hours and 41 minutes of total writing time.

I have prepared a list of 8 things that need to be changed before I’m comfortable with this book going to the translator:

*three passages are still not convincing enough, and need a bit of work

*Section 6C needs to be lengthened by a couple of pages; it’s too thin at the moment (I may do this tonight before calling it quits)

*Chapter 9 really needs a major overhaul; it’s the climax, and I want it to be more powerful than it currently is

*Section 7D was deleted due to general weakness and needs to be rewritten entirely

*Chapter 10, the summary, has always remained to be written

*At least one diagram needs to be added to help clarify the argument. Maybe even two or three diagrams.

Once all of these changes are made, I will reread the entire manuscript in hard copy form, looking for any problems that escaped my scrutiny during previous revisions.
