“The Actual Volcano”

That’s the title of Shaviro’s interesting Whitehead-inspired critique of my position. You’ll see it in print somewhere soon, and if you’re lucky may even hear Shaviro give it at a conference.

I could answer most of the charges now, but the “beautiful vs. sublime” part of it will take a bit of reflection before it’s clear what I think.

Also, I’d forgotten that I had ever said “shale and cantaloupe” in Guerrilla Metaphysics until Shaviro cited the phrase. Sounds like a good title for the inevitable OOP/OOO journal.
