Composition of Philosophy. August 23.

August 23, 2009

Today I’m doing a final revision of the existing chapters. To this end, I’m finding the hard copy to be a big help. I’m going through and marking all the changes I want to make, and will go back later and change them on the computer.

Why? Oh, probably just because it’s not inherently fun to sit at a computer screen. Unfortunately for me, I don’t like writing manuscripts by hand (or by typewriter), so the computer screen is my only real option for first drafts. But for final revisions, when changes are minor, the hard copy works well. This is actually my first time trying it, believe it or not, but I’m finding that it works well.
