Today I’m browsing through a good French anthology of the “Brentano School”:

Brentano isn’t read so much in his own right these days. But rarely do I have such a sense of sheer, raw intellectual power as when reading him. He’s simply incapable of falling into a rut. Every sentence he writes gives the refreshing impression of a person who sees everything through the power of personal talent and effort.
Plus, he’s one of the most interesting-looking philosophers of the past few centuries:
