it’s at the publisher

Towards Speculative Realism is now in the hands of the publisher. Time to turn back to the other two projects. But first, more nice dinners with the newly arrived faculty. This is always one of the most entertaining times of the year at AUC, when scores of new faculty who have never set foot in Egypt before are hanging out in there new homes with nothing to do. It is my pleasure to show them Cairo and get them to the point of operating independently in the city. It reminds me of the great charm of my own first weeks in this city.

And yes, I know I’ve been a slacker blogger recently. It won’t last forever.
