Planomenology tells me that a 16-hour fast may be the way to break the insomnia bronco.

I’ll try that.

Incidentally, did anyone ever hear the weird anti-jetlag tip of taping (turned-on) flashlights to the back of your knees throughout an entire transoceanic flight? I’ve never tried it, but wonder how on earth it’s supposed to work. Is it some sort of Chinese medicine “pressure points” sort of technique? (Nor do I ask this mockingly. I tried acupuncture for awhile, a decade ago, and found it miraculous. Amazingly, the DePaul health insurance plan covered 90% of it, so I was paying only $6/session for it– and man, it would have been worth the full $60.)
