on Twitter

July 18, 2009

Incidentally, for those signing on to see my updates at Twitter, I am not deliberately screening those who join. Everyone is approved in principle.

The “screening” now in place is a byproduct of the fact that I recently put a lock on my tweets, and the reason I did so is because I was shocked to find that tweets show up on Google. That seems a little much, given that I use Twitter for real-time updates on what I am doing, even more so than on this blog. And it was just a bit unnerving to find my tweets on the Chicago Bulls and on exactly what restaurant I was sitting in at a given time show up on Google. Not that anyone out there would care, but it creates just a touch of “Big Brother” paranoia to see things like that show up.
