rare check-in
July 8, 2009
Rare because this is one of the busiest trips I’ve ever had, in the sense of wall-to-wall commitments. I know a fair number of people here, and am trying to see everyone I know to be in town and not too busy.
Went up to Oxford this morning with the ANTHEM people to see half of a daylong conference on scalography. The three speakers I was able to see were Steve Woolgar (co-author on Latour’s first book, Laboratory Life), Michelle Murphy from Toronto, and Gerard de Vries (my old boss in Amsterdam in the Philosophy of Science section). And always good to see Noortje Marres, who was involved in organizing it.
No idea what the internet situation will be like for me in the coming days, but under certain possible if improbable scenarios, this could be my last post from the UK on this trip.
