incidentally, re: the Levi post

Incidentally, my objection a couple of posts ago to Levi’s portrayal of my position was meant in the spirit of jovial swordplay with a key object-oriented ally. I’m sure he took it that way himself (he has an unusually high tolerance even for truly mean-spirited feedback). But looking back at that post, I think it could also come off as a sourpuss “you misrepresented me” sort of thing. Which is not at all the mood in which it was written. Getting to know Levi has been one of the good things about 2008-09. Too bad we didn’t know each other during our brief Chicago overlap in the late 1990’s.
