Just saw it again, in a phenomenological context… Worries about going back to “the subject-object dichotomy”. But the real problem is the subject-object duopoly.
If you think the problem is the dichotomy, you’ll just retreat to a correlationist position of saying that the two need each other and cannot exist in isolation.
But the real problem lies in the notion that all reality must be made up of precisely these two poles– whether dichotomized or turned into a mutually interdependent correlate. The damage is the same in either case.
